Yamaha’s
Piano and Keyboard Club courses
for 8+ year-old beginners are designed to be an
introduction to piano and keyboard playing for
older students.
Piano and Keyboard Club offer an edge over traditional private piano instruction because of the inclusion of ensemble playing activities, as well as an introduction to harmony, arrangement and music theory. Students will enjoy playing along to orchestrated and live accompaniments.
By the end the course, students will have achieved not only a high level of performance but will also have very good improvisational and ear-playing skills.

touch-sensitive keys. Fully-weighted "heavy" keys
are strongly recommended, and will help develop
technical proficiency.
If the student has access to a digital instrument (i.e. electronic keyboard), a variety of (realistic) sounds and rhythms is recommended. Other features, such as floppy diskette or SmartMedia drive, MIDI compatibility, and automatic accompaniment are also a bonus. These kinds of features inspire creativity and make practice time more fun!
